A delicate, yellow warbler, passing through on its autumn migration, has flown into our window with a sickening thud, and now lies dead on the ground. It is a hooded warbler, a songbird, known for clear, melodious notes. The bird had probably seen its reflection in the glass window and had flown toward what it thought to be another warbler.
